Really Right Stuff TFC-24 Mk II
The TFC-24 MK2 is a Series 2 Ultralight Carbon Fiber Tripod from Really Right Stuff. It is a 4-section tripod with their lightweight apex that allows it to fold up to a very compact closed length of 19.7" while extending to a maximum height of 49.2" It has a maximum load capacity of 85.1 lbs while weighing only 3.4 lbs. The ergonomic, ribbed, and rubber twist-lock grips allow for quick leg setup and collapse in any conditions, even when wearing gloves. O-rings keep joint threads clean and help provide tactile feedback. Additionally, the 3-position legs feature independent spread for easily achieving level, even on uneven terrain, and the spring-loaded leg angle pull tabs have visual lock/unlock indicators for secure positioning.
I pair this tripod with the excellent P0+Hybrid Classic head from Arca-Swiss as my lightweight hiking tripod.
