On the Rim with Shari

June 13, 2019  |  South Rim of Grand Canyon

Last month I did a private 2-day workshop for a woman named Shari from Florida who was visiting Grand Canyon, and wanted to get some great photos along with expanding her photographic knowledge. Shari is exactly the type of person that I love to work with. She was eager to learn and willing to do the hard work to get the shots. We had fantastic weather to work with as late-season winter storms rolled across the landscape.

Shari took the time to write a review of the workshop on my Facebook page. She has graciously allowed me to share it here along with a selfie we grabbed after the workshop.

"...I recently did a 2 day private workshop Adam Schallau which was the best thing I could have done for my first visit to the Grand Canyon. His passion, knowledge and his love of the Canyon was my inspiration.

He is so giving with his knowledge of photography is extensive, I learned so many new things about photography. He pushed me to be a better photographer creatively and technology.

I plan on going back and of course I will be signing up for more workshops with Adam. I highly recommend Adam for your Grand Canyon workshop" ~ Shari Brownie

The end of another great private workshop at Grand Canyon. Shari was a fantastic student and I look forward to seeing her again...

When I first began to dream of becoming a photographer, I never considered teaching photography to others, nor did I figure that others would want to learn from me. Fast forward 12+ years and teaching is now one of the best parts of my job. I love getting to share my passion for place, art, and craft with those who are eager to learn and be inspired.

My workshops tend to attract wonderful people from all across the world, and Shari, I include you in this group. It was truly a pleasure to guide you at Grand Canyon.
