National Geographic Traveler

June 2, 2019

I'm excited to share that my photo of the 'Super Blue Blood Moon' at Grand Canyon has been published in the current issue of the National Geographic Traveler magazine!

This scene was captured from Desert View on January 31st, 2018. It marked the second full moon of the month, thus a 'Blue Moon.' It was also closer to Earth than usual making it a 'super' moon. And, the moon was coming out of an eclipse making it a 'Blood Moon.'
