WHERE TO STAY

WHEN VISITING THE GRAND CANYON

Did you know that the Grand Canyon is split between two rims? Most people visit the South Rim because it’s open year round and it has more places to stay. The North Rim only gets 10% of the visitors that visit the canyon, it’s only open from mid-May to mid-October, and there’s only one lodge located in the park.

WEATHER

IT’S HOT, IT’S COLD, IT’S DRY, AND IT’S WET

The Grand Canyon is a land of extremes. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter with temperatures well below freezing, and it does snow here. Summer weather can also bring a chance of thunderstorms. If you’re visiting during Spring or Fall, expect anything to happen. Be prepared, check on the weather forecast before you visit the Grand Canyon.

TRAVEL

GETTING HERE & GETTING AROUND

It’s true that Grand Canyon National Park is a busy place, all of the parks are nowadays. Getting around the park can be a lot easier if you know where you are and where you want to go. The park has a great free shuttle bus system and we encourage people to use it whenever possible.
