A cottonwood tree near the village of Amalia, New Mexico, transitions to its autumn palette.

Autumnal Transition

The start of fall color in Northern New Mexico. Created recently while I was on a scouting trip with friends from Fort Worth, Texas.

  1. Damn, that’s a beauty Adam! I love the subtler tones in the sage, chamisa and pines surrounding the cottonwood and the lush green of that aspen.

  2. Wow! That is gorgeous! I don’t think too many people realize this is what New Mexico looks like. Of course, the northern part of the state is unique due to all the mountains. Hope you enjoyed your visit!

  3. Jackson,
Thank you for your wonderful words! I’m glad you like the photo.

    Best,
    Adam

  4. Lynn,
I run into that quite a bit…that is people that have no idea what secrets are waiting to be discovered here in New Mexico. I’ve lived here in New Mexico for over 10 years and still continue to discover amazing places all the time. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I hope to hear from you more often!

    Best,
    Adam
